Welcome — A Few Things to Know

Yakiniku is a "cook-it-yourself" experience over a tabletop charcoal grill. Here's what to expect, so you can enjoy without worry.

1
Cook your own meat on our table grill. Staff will demonstrate on request — just point at any cut. Most cuts: 30–60 seconds per side.
2
Sauce (tare) and salt are both provided. Lean cuts → salt; fatty cuts → tare. There's no wrong choice.
3
A small starter dish (otoshi) is included. Standard practice in Japanese restaurants.
4
Tipping is not customary in Japan. Service is included. Please don't leave cash on the table.
5
Photos are welcome — and encouraged. Tag @yakiniku_mikaduki if you share.
Staff speak Japanese only. Point at any item, or scan the QR code on your table to view the full English menu.
UnionPay (银联): accepted Allergies: 1-day advance notice Halal: not certified Group bookings: please call to discuss

How to Reserve

Two ways to book — online or by phone.

Reserve via Ikyu (Japanese site) →

💡 Tip for English speakers: Ikyu is a Japanese reservation platform. Use your browser's "Translate to English" feature (Chrome: right-click → Translate / Safari: address bar → 🌐 icon) to view the booking form in English. The reservation is processed in Japanese internally, but you'll receive a confirmation email automatically.

② By phone (Japanese only): +81-744-41-9429

Walk-ins accepted but seats may be limited on weekends — booking ahead is strongly recommended.

🌐 What if my browser translation breaks the Ikyu form?

Ikyu is a major Japanese reservation platform (similar to OpenTable in the US). The form fields will translate visually, but please:

  • Enter your name in English (Romaji)
  • Enter phone with country code (+1, +44, +61 etc.)
  • Write any notes (allergies, group size details) in English — the restaurant will receive them as-is
  • Confirmation email arrives in Japanese, but date / time / party-size are written in numbers (universal)

If anything still fails, ask your hotel concierge to call +81-744-41-9429 on your behalf. Hotels in Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara handle this routinely (the front desk usually speaks both English and Japanese).

If you'd prefer not to call, hotels and tourist info centers in Osaka, Kyoto, or Nara can call on your behalf — show them this page or read out (example with sample date/time): 「橿原市の焼肉三日月です。10月24日 19時に 4名で予約をお願いします」 ("Yakiniku Mikazuki in Kashihara — example: please book for 4 guests on 10/24 at 19:00. Replace date / time / party size as needed.").

Charcoal. Company. Conversation.

ASUKA-FUJIWARA

Yakiniku in a World Heritage Town

The "Asuka-Fujiwara" sites were recommended for UNESCO World Heritage inscription in June 2026 (formal decision expected at the July 2026 committee). Their centerpiece — the Fujiwara Palace Site — is just 1.6 km from our door: about 5 minutes by car, or a 22-minute walk.

Rape blossoms in spring. A sea of cosmos in autumn.

Wander the palace ruins at dusk — then at 17:00, our Binchotan charcoal is lit. End your sightseeing day with Kuroge Wagyu in Kashihara.

* The Asuka-Fujiwara sites received an ICOMOS recommendation for World Heritage inscription (June 2026). Formal decision expected at the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in July 2026.
